ACKNOWLEDGMENT

The City of Philadelphia and Independence National Historical Park, National Park Service acknowledge the strenuous efforts of the Avenging the Ancestors Coalition, Generations Unlimited, many local citizens, historians, community leaders, and government officials to bring to public attention the stories of the people of the President’s House, including those of the enslaved Africans.
